RAW MATERIALS
True jeans are made out of 100% cotton, including threads. Polyester blends are available, however, the overwhelming majority of jeans sold are 100% of cotton. The belt loops waistband, back panel, pockets are made of dyed denim. Rivets have been made of copper traditionally, but the zippers, snaps, and buttons are usually steel. Designers’ labels are often tags made of cloth, leather, or plastic, while others are embroidered with cotton thread.
